Petition to get GM vehicles parked filed

Detroit, Michigan-based General Motors Co. is facing calls to have the automobiles that have been included in the recent recall regarding their faulty ignition switches to be parked, as they are deemed to be unsafe.  The request was filed by the lawyers for plaintiffs filing a lawsuit against GM for the faulty vehicles before U.S. District Judge Nelva Gonzales Ramos in the federal court of Corpus Christi on Friday, April 4.

If the car manufacturer is legally ordered to park all the vehicles, it would be required to provide loaner cars for everyone affected. CEO Mary Barra is resisting making this call, as she has stated that the cars are safe, so long as there is nothing hanging off the ignition key.

Unfortunately, manufacturers sometimes fail in their responsibility to only make and release safe products, resulting in dangerous products such as these faulty vehicles getting released. This can pose a danger to the health and very lives of consumers. If you have been harmed by a defective vehicle in Dallas, call our attorneys from the Law Offices of Mark T.
