Oak Town man dies after getting hit by bus near Vincennes Township

The Knox County Sheriff’s Department reported an accident that involved a pedestrian and a bus that left one man dead on Monday, October 28.

According to the police, at around 1:28 a.m. the victim, identified as Albert Kennedy of Oak Town, was crossing U.S. Route 41 just north of Vincennes near the Old U.S. Route 41 intersection when he was hit by a bus, which was found to be a property of country singer Jason Aldean.

The Vincennes and Washington Townships and the Knox County Sheriff’s Department’s special accident crash scene reconstructionist responded to the accident site. Knox County Coroner Gordon Becher pronounced the victim dead at the scene due to head and chest trauma.

Investigations regarding the crash are still ongoing.
