Honda Issues Vehicle Recalls over Rollaway Fears

Honda has issued a recall for a number of vehicles because of a potential ignition interlock problem that could lead to a vehicle rolling away, resulting in a collision. The affected models include Honda Odyssey minivans and Pilots from the 2003 and 2004 model years, and Acura MDX SUVs from the 2003-2006 model years.

According to an estimate from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the number of affected vehicles could be as high asĀ 807,161. The problem stems from a change made to the vehicle’s ignition interlock system that could allow a driver to remove the key to the vehicle without the vehicle being in park, which could allow the vehicle to roll away.

If you or someone you know has been injured in an auto accident caused by this problem or any other vehicle defect, you should not be forced to shoulder the burden of this accident on your own.
